Acupuncture

Acupuncture is an ancient medical therapy and one of the most popular treatments within the Traditional Chinese Medicine framework.

Acupuncture works by using tiny needles to access highly specialized points of the body to stimulate healing or change. Acupuncture has been shown to increase blood flow, reduce inflammation, relieve pain, speed up the healing process, reduce stress, balance hormones, improve sleep, and much more.

Herbal Medicine

We use a variety of natural herbal medicines and formulas (often used in pill, powder, or tea form) to help the body heal from within. Chinese herbal medicine is famous for not simply treating symptoms, but addressing the root causes of our health complaints. Herbal medicine
can be used along with acupuncture and other therapies to address issues like pain, digestive issues, stress, hormone imbalances, fatigue, insomnia, and more.

Acutonics therapy

Acutonics®

Acutonics is a unique form of therapy, blending both acupuncture theory and sound healing. The vibratory energy of precision-calibrated tuning forks, gongs, and chimes are used stimulate specific acupuncture points in a similar way to acupuncture needles. This therapy is a wonderful choice for those who want to achieve the effects of acupuncture, but want to avoid the use of needles or experience the beauty of sound healing.

Cupping & Gua Sha

Cupping is a sought-after technique that benefits a wide range of conditions – from athletic injuries to asthma!

During a cupping treatment, we create a vacuum between the cup and the skin, which lifts the skin, fascia, and superficial muscle layers into the cup. Like a reverse massage, cupping helps to release tension in the muscles, increase circulation through the area, and relax the mind and body. Cupping is often added to treatment plans to relieve pain, tension, headaches, stress, and more.

Gua sha, also called “scraping,” is a technique that improves circulation and flushes an area with healthy blood flow. A small tool is used to glide along muscles or other areas to help relieve pain, rehabilitate muscles, or unlock “stuck” areas.

A Consistent Commitment to the Healing Process

Just as the mighty ironwood tree relies on its deep roots to stay strong and resilient, we rely on a foundation of healthy habits to maintain good health. We believe that this starts with dedication and commitment to our bodies and minds.

To help you achieve lasting health, Ironwood Acupuncture is committed to:

  • Providing compassionate care throughout the healing journey.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest in natural and holistic medicine.
  • Offering a safe space for you to address all aspects of your health: physical, mental, and emotional.

To help us best serve you, we also ask for your commitment to the process. Chinese medicine (like medications, exercise, or most things in life) requires a course of treatments to get the best result.

We ask that you, too, commit to your natural healing process by:

  • Sticking to your recommended course of treatments.
  • Adhering to the lifestyle, exercise, and dietary recommendations for your unique condition.
  • Asking questions along the way and staying invested in your best health!

Healing the natural way, without invasive surgeries, medications, and chemicals is possible with consistent care. We can’t wait to see your health transform!
